A little out of the bible that I wondered.
How and where did the people in the bible during that time, have faith to believe that Jesus can heal. After all Jesus is called the Son of man during that time, meaning he look just like us. So there is no way people can see the different and therefore ask for healing. So where do they get their belief from?
My thought is that during that time, it's a mouth to mouth way of spreading the word that Jesus can heal the sick. So that will also means that there have to be someone who starts the ball rolling and that person have to be someone in that area, so that people will have a stronger belief.
Taking it to a hospital scenario.
Imagine that the whole hospital is all sick, you got the lame, you got the blind every kind of sickness. Then one day, one of the fellow who was lame can walk and he is now running around the hospital saying that he is well and it's DR.Ben who cured, others who were sick will surely want to be attend to by Dr.Ben.
But imagine that there is no one spreading the goodness in
his area, will the good new be spread around? one of the verse says that people will only believe if they see miracles or changes. Changes that they hope to have. Changes that will benefit them.
And I guess that is what being like a living bible is all about. The focus here is
His Area. For example, my dad in
his work place, john in
his school, Mary in
her restaurant that she opens.
We have to pass the Word by
our actions in
our areas. It will be the easiest way to spread the Word. For example in school, People in
your area have the
same environment with you, the
same circle of friends with you, the
same work as you, the
same teacher, the same
school activity,
Another words, they can related themselves to you. So if you reflect well in your behavior and actions, people will follow you to church and hope for the same change.
Week by week church can help, but they can't go to places that you are at. church can't go to your workplace, nor can they go to your schools, your wherever, oh yeah, your home. It mostly depends on you to impact.
